Bill Talbot is currently working on a new series of 'masked' figures, an element developed from research he's been doing for the last few years into and around the social aspects of masks.
The painted images are more abstract than previous works, wearing bird skulls, predominantly heron-like, and hinged 'metal' finger covers with 'metal' feathers extending from the tips.
The motif common throughout the pieces is a gold ring..one on the index finger of the first painting, a gold armband on the second "ibis girl"...

A series of detailed drawings, litho's and etchings are being produced concurrently to link with the paintings.

Bill and Steve Jones (steve-jones.co.uk) are collaborating on bringing some of the latest imagery to life using 3D animation.

The paintings, when finished, will be included in Rich Galbraith's multi-media launch and exhibition of 'Operation Concrete' at the Vibe Bar, Brick Lane, London, in October this year. This launch includes  two books, five artists and five bands plus work-in-progress videos..(operationconcrete.com)
